• Wow, they have a council. Greeat.
• Honestly, as cool as the nightclub was last season I really wish they hadn't completely discarded of the vampire council thing. Just for the aesthetic, not the hierarchy.
• Two long energy vamps are boring haha gimmicks in one episode is a little much for me tbh. 
• I know a lot of people had issues with Lazlo's behaviour in the trailer, but it seems in character to me. He's well meaning, he's just an idiot.
• Okay, the Colin stuff got a chuckle. Flashing his potential voters lol

Not much to say, it wasn't that great of an episode tbh. I am a bit disappointed, especially after last week's. Seems they'll be keeping up the pattern of stacking the season with pointless, unmemorable filler episodes. Hopefully they don't rush the ending. It'd be nice if there was a bit more character building in the filler episodes, instead of rushing through half baked gags. While both 5x03 and 5x04 left me wanting more, this one had me saying, "That's it?"

Sorry if the tone of this is coming off as unnecessarily harsh - I pretty much always enjoy this show. It's a nice way to finish out the week, even when it's not my cup of tea.

Now for the big question - how do you guys feel about what's going on with Guillermo? I have the unpopular opinion that he should just become a vampire already and stay that way for the rest of the show. After 5 seasons, I'm exhausted with the pining and the will Nandor/won't Nandor stuff. I'm also bored of the familiar punching bag thing. Wouldn't mind seeing the dynamic switched up a bit again.
